Snapshots of Flowers

It’s Friday! That means it’s the weekend for me! Yay. On the way back home today, I saw this pretty rose in my mom’s garden, so I immediately grabbed my camera and went to take a few photos of flowers. Actually, these three are all that I took today, hence the whole snapshots of flowers thing. I just snapped it and took it in without really looking at how it looked on the screen. Not too shabby, eh?

The Day After

Night Blooming Cereus

I don’t think I’ve ever taken a photo of the night blooming cereus after the night it blooms, so here it is. It looks so sad compared to yesterday. Haha.

Today my mom was watering her garden as she usually does everyday, and she found out that the night blooming cereus were in bloom again this summer. In case you forgot, night blooming cereus only blooms at night and only once in the middle of the summer. So when she called me about it, it was around sunset, and they were closed like the photo above.

It was actually very hard to take a photo of them this time, and it was because two flowers bloomed from one leaf, so the two flowers were very close to each other.

And this is how it turned out when they are just that close together. The two flower bumps to each other as they are blooming, so when I tried to take a photo of them, only one side would be lit or what not. Now I’m just enjoying the sweet smell that the flowers emit since these flowers are just outside my window.
