Morning Condensation

OMG

Hopefully waking up early will help my messed up sleeping patterns that I have been getting recently. That is, if I don’t take a nap in the afternoon, because I think naps are the main reason why I can’t seem to sleep all the way through during the night. I would wake up at four or five in the morning, and I couldn’t get back to sleep. Well, in today’s case, I woke up because it was colder this morning than it has been in the other mornings. My alarm clock also has a temperature on it, so it told me that it was 66°F indoors. So I tried to look outside but got very thick condensation, which made me want to write something on it, and here you go. Fun stuff.

New Haircut

New Haircut

Although I said I liked my last haircut a lot, I liked the one I got yesterday even better–possibly even a thousand times better! You see, I have a lot of hair, so when people do my hair, they’re usually amazed how much and how thick my hair is, and they often do a really bad job at cutting it. It’s really annoying. But I went to another hairstylist this time (since my aunt recommended the place), and the lady there did a very good job! She just kept on layering and layering my hair. I don’t know how much she cut off. I really wanted to see, but it appeared that they swept the floor already when I was done. I was pretty sad. Haha. Anyway, I really like my new haircut! It feels a lot lighter than before, and I don’t know what else. I just like it a lot better. What do you think?

Ixya Herrera

Winter session, for me, is now over. Knowing that I just finished a semester class in two weeks is just awesome. I am so glad to have taken Professor Herrera’s Regional Music of Mexico class. He is such a great professor, and you can tell that he is very passionate about music. He even brought his daughter Ixya Herrara to sing for us on Wednesday.

Ixya Herrara

It was truly amazing to listen to Ixya sing live. I have listened to her singing on recordings since it was required in class, but listening to her live was a different experience altogether. She has such a soft spoken voice when she speaks, but when she sings, it really comes out at you. It just sounds so angelic and bold. There really isn’t any strain in her voice either. You can tell that she takes care of her voice, and that is very important for a singer.
