The Surreal Theatrical - 120/365
Today is the last day of Professor David Blumenkrantz’s MFA art gallery called The Surreal Theatrical, so I went to check it out. (I also get extra credit for my Photojournalism class if I write a paper about it, too.) It is basically street photography on Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles, and the photos are awesome. It kind of reminded me of my documentary project because it is about a certain location. You can find more information about it here, and he also made a book through Blurb. You can find that here. It also has a preview!
Found Digital Camera - 119/365
My mom is on the plane right now to go back to Taiwan for about two weeks. She called me before she left, and she told me to call my brother often. So, I called my brother on the way back to the dorms earlier tonight, and I found a digital camera on the floor! I picked it up and told my brother about it. He thought I was crazy for picking up things randomly. Then he also joked about I shouldn’t pick it up because I might get swine flu. Hahaha! Okay, maybe that wasn’t really that funny, but I’ve heard so many bad swine flu jokes lately. Regardless of swine flu or not, I still washed my hands because I picked something on the floor. I’m going to be returning the digital camera to the housing office tomorrow because I feel weird to keep it. I don’t really need it either because I have three other digital cameras already. What would you do?
Jane By Day, Janii By Night - 118/365
It was the Taste the Fire event in El Pollo Loco restaurants nationwide today, and there were a very good turnout for two free pieces of chicken (a leg and a thigh) at school. The free meals were also easily my lunch and dinner.
Now check this out. The people at the El Pollo Loco in school spelled my name wrong both times! During lunch time, I was Jane, and during dinner time, I was Janii. Haha, fun stuff! So, hi, everyone. I’m Janii! *cough*
