LA Arboretum, Part 5
Here is the final update of the LA Arboretum entries. If you have been keeping track, like Nikki has, then I would like to thank you for checking out these updates. These entries definitely showed how much I really like flowers and nature altogether. Once again, I would like to thank Nikki for the free admission, even though the admission isn’t costly to begin with. It’s still nice to have it anyway.
Nikki got really tired at this one point, so we sat down on a bench underneath a shade. I realized that such way is a nice way to see how beautiful trees are by the way their branches look and just the formation of it overall.
LA Arboretum, Part 4
Last night I said I will post two entries of the LA Arboretum updates, and that will be all. I changed my mind today since I don’t feel like doing both at the same time. The good news is that I don’t have work tomorrow, so I am able to post it at an earlier time. I am planning to the public library tomorrow to check some books since I actually got some book recommedations, and I can’t wait to check them out. I think I will also renew my library card status since I lost mine many years ago, and I never got a new one due to a number of reasons: I don’t go to the library a lot anyways, and my name is so common that I have to find “ways” to make the card who I am. Anyway, I will talk more about the library and books later. I still have to update about LA Arboretum.
Ah, yes. Nikki and I saw a peacock family with their babies walking around, and it was so adorable. They were just walking around in the shade. I kept moving closer and closer to them because I really wanted good photos of them.
Peacock mommy and daddy. Did you know that the peacock dads are the ones that look prettier due to the fact they have more color on them? I find that part very interesting, but what’s more interesting is the way I think about them. It shows that my culture i.e. where I come from tells me different meanings of what defines pretty, or even beautiful. Ah well. That was just a random thought.
LA Arboretum, Part 3
Here comes the third part of my LA Arboretum photos and the other half of my orchid photos. As I mentioned last time, this part of the orchids don’t look like your typical orchid you buy at supermarkets or Home Depot. At least for the most part.
Nikki in Hawaii! Just kidding. We just dubbed the orchid greenhouse “Hawaii” because Nikki said it smells like Hawaii, but I wouldn’t know since I’ve never been to Hawaii before.
Are you all ready for more orchid flowers, especially the “weirder” looking ones?
