LA Arboretum, Part 5

LA Arboretum

Here is the final update of the LA Arboretum entries. If you have been keeping track, like Nikki has, then I would like to thank you for checking out these updates. These entries definitely showed how much I really like flowers and nature altogether. Once again, I would like to thank Nikki for the free admission, even though the admission isn’t costly to begin with. It’s still nice to have it anyway.

Nikki got really tired at this one point, so we sat down on a bench underneath a shade. I realized that such way is a nice way to see how beautiful trees are by the way their branches look and just the formation of it overall.

LA Arboretum

There is this waterfall in the LA Arboretum, and I thought it was the perfect time to try out the water blur effect by adjusting the shutter speed on the camera. I took a lot of photos on this part, and I think this is the best I have gotten out of the choices I had. Others were either under or over exposed. I don’t mind trying this out again with the waterfall. It’s just more practice.

LA Arboretum

We found a lotus pond afterward, but lots of these lotuses were far away, and I couldn’t reach them far enough with my camera because I only have the kit lens. I still tried my best anyway.

LA Arboretum

Oh, I saw these hibiscus, and they were huge! They were bigger than my hands.

I really wonder what this flower is called. It looks very interesting. I actually really like how this photo look, too.

LA Arboretum

These holes of bite marks make me think that bugs eat very neatly for some reason.

LA Arboretum

Arcadia is so close to the San Gabriel Mountains that if you keep on heading north, you’ll reach a section of it. It’s nice to have mountains.

I’ve seen this bird around, and I totally forgot what they are. I knew it once before. Someone told me about them said that they are a peacock of a certain kind or something. I may be wrong. Feel free to correct me because I am definitely not sure.

LA Arboretum

The arboretum also sells some plants in their gift shop, and I saw the cutest cactus plant in a two-inch pot. I have a thing with small things, like I just think they’re cute instantly.

LA Arboretum

HAHAHA! Peacock poop! Okay, Nikki and I were just waiting for my mom to pick us up, and we saw this peacock walk by. We were just looking at it, and then the peacock just pooped in front of Nikki’s face! It was pretty darn priceless. I think it’s something we both won’t forget.

LA Arboretum

Last but not least is a fly that Nikki said it looked big. Haha. It kind of does, really. You can see the red eyes. Normally you don’t see them.

So, that concludes the end of the five-part LA Arboretum update! Hope you all have enjoyed it, and I know I said that a million times, but I really mean it.

Very nice photo update Jenny. Just reading all your updates made me appreciate the trip even more, retroactively/retrospectively. And that’s so cool how all of these are straight OOC (out of camera).

    Ah, that’s what it is!

And thanks! Yeah, I don’t generally edit my photos on my blog. Just because (and it’s too much work, lol).
