My Graduation – My P.O.V.
Now here are photos from my point of view of graduation with my Nikon D60! You all remember how it rained and everything? Well, on the morning of graduation, which was like 5:30 AM, I got up and took my gown out of the bag. Then I decided to read what was written on the bag. In caps, it wrote: “THIS GARMENT SHOULD NOT BE WORN IN THE RAIN. DO NOT WASH OR DRY-CLEAN THIS GARMENT.” I looked outside my window, and it was raining…
Group photos time. Here’s Katie, Hannah and Jonathan. Graduates were supposed to be behind the bleachers, and that’s where I met with most of my photojournalism colleagues. We’s such a small bunch of people.
Alonso came to visit, even after he graduated last year. Here’s Jonathan and Alonso.
My Graduation – My Brother’s P.O.V.
It is about time that I posted photos from graduation, and yes, it did rain like crazy on the day of my graduation. So sad. Well, I handed my Nikon COOLPIX P80 to my brother when I used my Nikon D60, so most of these following photos were taken by my brother. I will post the photos I’ve taken tomorrow.
As you can tell, it was very rainy, and everyone had their umbrellas, which was very annoying to take photos of, since they got in the way many many times. I like this photo because you can see Kanie and Jennifer, which by the way, I’m so glad that Jennifer came to see my graduation!
I think my mom, my brother, Kanie and Jennifer were trying to look where was I, but it was so hard to find me because of the umbrellas.
Honors Convocation
Two weeks before graduation, I got a post card, saying that I am invited to go to Honors Convocation and that I should R.S.V.P. to get my spot. I was looking at my mom, like: “What? How did I get into Honors? Are they sure they got the right Jenny (since there is another Jenny with the same last name as I do who was also graduating the same year as me)?” My mom was like: “Well, this was in the mail, and it’s the right address, so it must be you.” I still sat on the couch dumbfounded. Then May 17th happened, and my mom drove the both of us and Kanie to CSUN. I sat and looked around. There was no one I really knew here.
So I started taking pictures. I was like: “Oooh, that’s my college right there” and zoomed in with using my camera. Hahaha. Yeeeeah, I didn’t really know what else to do.
I grabbed one of those program books and instantly looked for my name to make sure I was in here. As I was flipping through the pages, I was like: “HAHAHA, what if I really wasn’t in it, and I came all the way here from home?!” Then I saw my name, with my major AND concentration. I was like: “Whoa, I did make it to Honors…”
