Discover CSUN – 80/365
As an University Ambassador, I volunteered at this big event called Discover CSUN at school today. Although I knew I signed my shifts for 7 a.m., I didn’t see what I had to do until 10 a.m., so I didn’t get to school until then. However, it turned out that I had to be there at 7 a.m. and I didn’t. I felt really bad about it, but I went to work right away. My shift was giving campus tours. There were so many people at the event that I had to give tours for about 30 to 40 people. I even almost lost my voice, like someone told me to speak louder, and as I tried to do so, nothing came out of my mouth. I was like: “Oh crap.” So, after the tour, I just told the people in charge that I can’t give tours. I ended up giving information at the booth, and I felt a lot better.
There were also a lot of other people who had booths about colleges, clubs and organizations on campus. The coolest one, in my opinion, was the marine biology one. They had a tub full of marine animals, and I love such things. If I had a good memory for biology, I would’ve been a marine biology major. I just love learning about them.
Lunar New Year Parade
I went to watch the Lunar New Year Parade in between Alhambra and San Gabriel yesterday. Not many people showed up, but I’m guessing it was because of the rain. It was pretty hard to take photos, too, because I didn’t want my camera to get wet. Oh well. The parade was alright. Everyone looked very cold from the rain. I know I was, especially with my feet got soaked by the water puddles.
It was also Joanne’s 21st birthday, so here are some photos from that.
