Memorable Memories
Get ready for a long entry! Just because I didn’t update yesterday, it doesn’t mean that I didn’t take any photos!

This is the grade that Jonathan and I got on our Blurb book. Holy crap! Haha, seriously. Wow. I was super surprised to see that when I opened the book with the little post-it note. I’m sure everyone did well on theirs, too, since there really were some great content after seeing everyone’s Soundslides.
After documentary class was over, a few people had decided to go to BJ’s to celebrate. Even though I had a final the next day, I still went with them because I figured there won’t be a moment like it again, and it was fun just being there. I enjoyed it. Congratulations to Jillian, Alex and Jenina on graduating!
J455 – The REAL Last Entry (Journal #7)
I am actually glad that this entry is the last one, not the one before, because I had typed up so much about what happened, and I did not get to have a final reflection.
I really like how the book turned out. It is hardcover with 80 pages—a lot more than I would have imagined when Jonathan and I had decided what to do on our documentary, especially after some “failed” attempts. They were not really failures, but this finalized product was really “plan C” or “plan Z” as Professor Blumenkrantz joked. But I am happy about how it turned out.
I learned a lot in this documentary. I really did.
A Variety – 117/365
A couple of people in the newsroom were joking around about the swine flu that has been circulating on the news lately. I didn’t hear all of it, but it was pretty ridiculously funny at the things they were saying. After the jokes, Chelsea wrote this in front of her office.
Jonathan and I also got our Flickr (Blurb, rather) books last Friday, so Jonathan gave me my copy today, and it looks awesome! I’m happy about how it turned out. The photos were all in high resolution and the way we saw it in the program. Now I just have to remember to ask Jonathan to import the completed book file, so I can upload the book onto my Blurb account. Then people have access to preview and buy it as they please.
Professor Blumekrantz told us if we make a photo essay layout on Adobe Photoshop and pay him $3, he would help us print it out at Costco and display it in the cases on the first floor of Manzanita Hall. So, that’s what Jonathan and I did last Tuesday night with the deadline at 11 p.m. It turned out nicely, though. Thanks to Jonathan! We spent a good while finding the right alignment between the images, too. Haha.
