Vocal Percussion Radio
Random things like the CSUN’s acapella group Vocal Percussion Radio performing in front of Manzanita Hall are one of the littlest things I would miss about the university. I was out of my last JOUR498 Tutorial class (and my last class ever with Professor Blumenkrantz … so sad), and they were just performing outside! How cool is that? I stayed for less than 15 minutes since I thought I had class afterward, but it was worth watching and listening to their music.
Earth Fair
Today was Earth Fair at CSUN to celebrate Earth day! Go, Earth day! It was actually a lot of fun. Kanie and I went there to check it out, and can you believe it was last year that I just met Kanie? So basically, I have known Kanie for a year now. Both of us got a stuffed squirrel toy last year, and this year we got many other stuff such as free food. I was surprised that this year’s Earth Fair was very eventful.
Oh, yeah, I totally forgot to bring my digital camera on campus. I actually just forgot about Earth Fair being today, and I was pretty bummed, but thank goodness for cell phone camera photos!
This was something new! There were these two ladies with stills on, and they looked very happy. It was pretty cool to see them go around and say “happy Earth day!” to everyone. Haha.
Half of the Earth Fair was an International Club portion where many people from other countries introduce their country to others. There were so many countries listed, such as: Japan, China, Korea, Egypt, India, Thailand, Malaysia, etc. No Taiwan, though. *sad* So when Kanie and I were walking around there, and we got free food out of them. They were very interesting, like I don’t really know the names of some of the food, but they had abundant amounts of flavor from sweet to sour. The mango lash (smoothie) from India was DELICIOUS!
