“Last” Day - 128/365

128/365

It is almost 8 p.m. and I’m in the newsroom. Almost everyone around me is working on the last issue that’s going to be on published on Monday, and I’m not really working on anything. It feels weird like I should be working on something, but I’m not. I think they’re almost done, though. I have three more finals left: one exam and two … not really exams. The “sad” thing is I’m okay being in the newsroom right now. It’s better than being alone in the dorms with nothing to do since I don’t feel like studying yet. I will clean, but what would I do after I finish cleaning? Haha. Aw, it’s the last day in the newsroom for the semester…

A Variety - 117/365

A couple of people in the newsroom were joking around about the swine flu that has been circulating on the news lately. I didn’t hear all of it, but it was pretty ridiculously funny at the things they were saying. After the jokes, Chelsea wrote this in front of her office.

Jonathan and I also got our Flickr (Blurb, rather) books last Friday, so Jonathan gave me my copy today, and it looks awesome! I’m happy about how it turned out. The photos were all in high resolution and the way we saw it in the program. Now I just have to remember to ask Jonathan to import the completed book file, so I can upload the book onto my Blurb account. Then people have access to preview and buy it as they please.

Professor Blumekrantz told us if we make a photo essay layout on Adobe Photoshop and pay him $3, he would help us print it out at Costco and display it in the cases on the first floor of Manzanita Hall. So, that’s what Jonathan and I did last Tuesday night with the deadline at 11 p.m. It turned out nicely, though. Thanks to Jonathan! We spent a good while finding the right alignment between the images, too. Haha.

New Chairs - 89/365

89/365

We got new chairs in the Daily Sundial’s newsroom! Haha. You can tell the difference between the old one (left) and the new one (right), but seriously, the new one is so freaking smooth! It’s definitely a lot of fun to roll around on it across the newsroom, but since it’s so smooth, you got to be careful. It’s also so comfortable! The only thing that is weird about it is the smell, which I hope it’s temporary. I don’t know how to explain the smell, but it just smells like this weird plastic and other stuff. I never thought how strong it was either until I stepped out of the newsroom. It’s like white-out or something.

And my Soundslides presentation of the 3rd Annual Flores Family Iron Matador is up on my website and the Daily Sundial’s website! CHECK IT OUT! I also made a separate entry about it here!
