LA Arboretum, Part 5

LA Arboretum

Here is the final update of the LA Arboretum entries. If you have been keeping track, like Nikki has, then I would like to thank you for checking out these updates. These entries definitely showed how much I really like flowers and nature altogether. Once again, I would like to thank Nikki for the free admission, even though the admission isn’t costly to begin with. It’s still nice to have it anyway.

Nikki got really tired at this one point, so we sat down on a bench underneath a shade. I realized that such way is a nice way to see how beautiful trees are by the way their branches look and just the formation of it overall.

LA Arboretum, Part 4

LA Arboretum

Last night I said I will post two entries of the LA Arboretum updates, and that will be all. I changed my mind today since I don’t feel like doing both at the same time. The good news is that I don’t have work tomorrow, so I am able to post it at an earlier time. I am planning to the public library tomorrow to check some books since I actually got some book recommedations, and I can’t wait to check them out. I think I will also renew my library card status since I lost mine many years ago, and I never got a new one due to a number of reasons: I don’t go to the library a lot anyways, and my name is so common that I have to find “ways” to make the card who I am. Anyway, I will talk more about the library and books later. I still have to update about LA Arboretum.

LA Arboretum

Ah, yes. Nikki and I saw a peacock family with their babies walking around, and it was so adorable. They were just walking around in the shade. I kept moving closer and closer to them because I really wanted good photos of them.

LA Arboretum

Peacock mommy and daddy. Did you know that the peacock dads are the ones that look prettier due to the fact they have more color on them? I find that part very interesting, but what’s more interesting is the way I think about them. It shows that my culture i.e. where I come from tells me different meanings of what defines pretty, or even beautiful. Ah well. That was just a random thought.

LA Arboretum, Part 1

LA Arboretum

Nikki’s membership got me free admission to the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden yesterday. Thanks, Nikki! The LA Arboretum was a lot of fun, or at least to me anyway since I love nature and taking photos of them. We didn’t even go over everything since the arboretum was so huge. I took over 450+ photos, and that’s a lot for me, but I’m glad. I rather take more than less because that just means more to choose from. After selecting the ones that I personally like better, I still managed to have over 100 photos, so I think I will split up my photos into parts. 20-25 photos in each part, I’d say. Let’s begin, shall we?

LA Arboretum

Nikki’s good eyes caught this peacock mom with an egg! It was my first time seeing a peacock with an egg before, so this was very exciting to watch. However, once the peacock saw us, she started to hide her egg as soon as she can, and she never came out to show her egg again. Even when we went to check it out again before we left.

LA Arboretum

Uh, oh. You’re going to get me to say “I don’t know what’s the name of this flower (or plant)” a lot again, but I’m going to try to say something for each one. Try is the word. I’m not promising anything. So, what do I have to say about this one? Well, I actually never really liked how this one looked since it always looks like it’s wilting. I’m sure it’s not really like what I think, though.
