Rose
I had stopped updating on my spring break “series” because I ended up doing nothing very interesting. I did like this rose that was in my aunt’s garden, though. For some reason, the roses in her garden seem to grow up curly looking on their petals, and it just looks different from an usual rose. Anyway, I went back to school on Sunday night and am currently suffering extreme senioritis before graduation. I had to force myself to finish a paper in the library today (or more like yesterday now), and I have to study for my astronomy test that I have on Thursday. So that’s all for now.
For The Past 3 Weeks…
My life has been overwhelming busy and stressful lately, so that’s why I haven’t been updating. I have decided to update now because tomorrow’s my 21st birthday, and I will be celebrating it. I am positive that some (alcoholic) drinks will be involved since 21 is the legal age to drink in the states, but I am definitely not going to be wasted. And for most people who know me, I don’t really drink. But anyway, here is a long overdue update.
For the first week and a half, southern California mountains were on fire all over. The air quality wasn’t good at all. You can see ashes, and you can smell the air quality being worse than it usually is. The fires definitely made the sun glow in a red-orange color during sunset, and it felt really surreal at times.
I went to the photojournalism lab on one Wednesday to test out the studio lighting there since I figured it would be good to learn, especially since it is all what my ART455A Advertising Photography class is about. Studio lighting is tough work with setting up the lights and everything. I still don’t really know how to work it well, to tell you the truth. Paul helped out a lot, and we first tried out this toy car that he brought. This was my favorite shot out of all.
Nature Photography Day – 166/365
I haven’t taken any photos for over a week. To be honest, I was feeling quite uneasy about it, but the good news is I did get a number of requests. I enjoy many of them, and I can sense a bit of challenge in some of them, but that just makes it a lot more fun. I didn’t start on them yet, though. Instead I went to take photos of flowers in my mom’s garden today because today is Nature Photography Day. I know that there are different nature out there such as sunsets/sunrises, animals, etc. but I choose to take photos of flowers.
Hopefully these will make up the days I didn’t take any photos, especially since I felt pretty shaky of not using my camera for a while. Also, do not take photos when you’re hungry. Basically, your stomach growls because you want food, and it’s hard to make a photo focused when you’re moving. Haha. That was happening to me earlier. *cough*
